Dear Friends,
I am in the
process of figuring out what to do with the web site. If
you cannot get on the website in the next few days or
weeks, please try again after a few more days. The web
site will not go away permanently - it might be down for a
week or two. I will do my best to keep it to a minimum.

Dear Friends,
Barely 7 weeks
have passed since Thad won back his freedom. I'm still in
a daze, I bet you all can relate.
If you're
wondering how Thad is doing, he says "every day is like
Christmas." He is elated, on a daily basis, for small
things, like see so many colors . Like in a 7-11,
the row of candy - all those colors. It's really
interesting to hear his perspective.
And it's not
just Thad. The children are all glowing, like the best
thing that could have happened just did, which is the
case. Sydney is walking on air - it is such a pleasure to
be around them. They are so happy and enormously grateful,
as are all their friends.
I wanted to
let all of you know that the web site will stay up. We are
still Families for Mr J. Please keep visiting the web
site. I am in the process of redesigning it.
If you have
any questions or anything to share, please write back.

Hi, Thad!
This is a note to say that I am so happy to hear the good
news. I did not know the sad story about what you and your
family have gone through until Shauna wrote an e-mail to
me before she came to visit Stockholm in October 2007. I
am so sorry to
hear all about this. Take care and may the Lord be with
you and your family and give you many blessings, and may
"the sun shine on you."
Sincerely,

Congratulations! After living through two allegations spun
by my ex wife and her social services buddy, I know only
too well what the nightmare is like. Tell Mr. J
congratulations from a false accused man who prevailed.

This is the
best news ... finally Thad is free ... the 5-year
nightmare is over ... now he can go forth and enjoy his
future life with his faithful family and friends.
I have always
believed in Thad's innocence 100% from the very beginning.
He was and is a truly honest, extraordinary man who
deserves only goodness and happiness. I thank Thad for
teaching me the real meaning of patience and strength. I
don't know many people who could have endured what he did
and maintained his awesome personality. It has been a true
testament to his sincerely wonderful character.
To Thad: I am so happy for you! I've been honored to be
your friend. I loved working with you and look forward to
seeing you again. I pray that God will bless you richly,
along with your wife, Sidney, your children, your extended
family and all of your faithful friends!
I will keep you in my prayers forever,
Love,
your friend

I am and
always will be amazed at the Faith and Will of Mr. J and
his entire family through the nightmare they were
subjected to. We have remained faithful believers in
Thad's INNOCENCE from day one. It is now with great relief
and joy that we celebrate this remarkable man and his
FREEDOM. I know that he and his resilient family will pick
up the pieces and build a stronger and more positive life
in spite of what he and his family have been through.
I know that I
can state on behalf of all of us that know and love this
beautiful family that they will continue to have the love
and support of us all. I want to thank Joy for giving us a
forum to express our voices, faith, love and support to
Thad, his family and Hundreds of friends and supporters.
It was a much needed connection to Thad, his family and
many friends. I want to extend that appreciation to all
who were champions on Thad's behalf, we know who they are!
Our heartfelt Love, thoughts and prayers go out to the
entire Jesperson Family. You have our loyalty, support and
prayers forever.
God's Blessings Always,

Hi Everyone,
It has been a
long journey for all of us. This journey has brought many
people together and formed bonds of friendship and family
that I hope will never be forgotten.
To Thad,
Sydney and his entire family, I cannot express my
happiness for you I know it was a hard road to follow at
times but you taught all of us that faith will overcome
any obstacle.
Many people were instrumental in making this day possible
but never mentioned, THANK YOU. Your support and
commitment to Thad has been overwhelming. The messages,
letters and calls to Thad and his family gave them the
strength and courage to overcome this ordeal.
We all want to
talk about the ordeal and what happened during the course
of events, but know is not the time. Lets just rejoice in
he happiness for the family and help with the future
I was fortunate in the fact that Thad's family let me be
included in some of the most memorable moments of this
journey and i want to thank all of you.
Thanks

What words can
describe how we are feeling right now? I was shaking when
we heard the final word. We have prayed for this for four
years. Our friends have prayed, people who didn't even
know us when this started have prayed for this. So many
have become our dear friends. Others who we still have not
met personally have helped in so many ways - there were so
many people who knew that an innocent man needed to be
home with his dear wife of 20 years and his 4 adoring
children.
I add my gratitude to Thad and Syd's, my mom and our whole
entire family. We are so grateful for you who believed and
knew that this day would finally come!
Thank you Joy and the other parents like Kelly, Mike and
Reesa, and Tracy, for former students, teachers,
YMCA and school personnel who stood up for him. A special
thank you to Thad's classroom aide Connie and the teacher
who was across the hall, Dan. And so many more special
people who never stopped believing that this could be made
right, who not for one minute backed down on Thad being
innocent. I want to say all your names. It is not
possible. You know who you are. Those that organized
helped so much. Just know from our family to yours we are
so very grateful. Words can not describe. Thank you for
every prayer that got us though, for every letter
you wrote, for every encouragement in a thousand ways that
helped. You are our heroes. We will be eternally grateful!
Please know that our hearts and prayers continue to go out
to the wrongfully accused across our nation. Please know
that this mistake happens and not just to our family. We
have learned to be kinder in our judgment. Thank you to
all the Innocent groups out there helping others. Please
do not forget about them.
Please keep them in your prayers. Write to a prisoner. The
Savior visited those in prison. Please do what you can.
Again THANK YOU!!!
as always,
Proud to be Thad's sister,
Shauna

My heart is so
full of rejoicing and gratefulness that the truth has won
and Thad has been cleared! The Lord has blessed this
family with so many wonderful, generous miracles and He
proved that once again today! When his sister Shauna
called and gave me the news to send out to the extended
Jesperson family tonight, she was crying and laughing at
the same time because of the joy that she felt.
All of us that
have been praying and fighting for Thad will sleep well
tonight knowing that he can now go on with his life and
start planning for a great future with his family! It has
been my great pleasure to be his cousin and have known him
all my life. I have never doubted his innocence and am
grateful that the DA's office has finally come to their
senses. Thank you to all who have stuck by this great man
and given their love and
support to help keep everyone going.
Love to all,

Finally, the
justice and freedom that have been so long overdue and
hard fought have found their way into the lives of the
Jesperson family! Free at last! Exonerated, and free.
It has been
nothing but an honor to support this man and his family
all these years. Speaking and standing up for the truth
came easily and without question. The family set a
standard of conduct that exuded pride, honor and respect
that we all aspired to.
May blessings continue to surround the entire Jesperson
family as they go forward, together, knowing how loved and
supported they were, and always will be.
Your friends,
Ted, Kelly, Aubrey and Sydney Parisa

It is my
absolute thrill to let you all know that Mr J has
his life back.
Thank you for
your support, and always believing in this innocent
man. The support is what made the critical difference. A
guilty man would not have maintained this level of
support for all this time. As Mike Rainey wrote in the
letter to the UT, we told the truth, but it wasn't
what they wanted to hear. Not one of us supporters
would have stood up for a child molester, no
matter how much we liked him.
The Judge said
good character was reasonable doubt. It is beyond
logic and reason that a man with such good character,
which was more than proven by his witnesses, would have
done something wrong to children.
And that's one
of the great ironies. Mr J was convicted of patting
students on the back or the leg, over clothing, and the
touching on the leg, by everyone's testimony, was
during paired reading, when Mr J had to sometimes
reach over to get the child's attention. Where else would
he touch her, on top of her head?
We haven't
posted much about the actual trial and I'm not
going to get into the details now, but i had to vent a
little. Much more than wanting to vent, I want to thank
the supporters of the web site. It's amazed me
every day to see the number of people who checked
the web site regularly - hundreds from Southern California
and many more from all over the country and other
parts of the world. We are all rejoicing tonight.

Dear Friends,
The joy that fills my heart is indescribable. This last
month has just been amazing having Mr J home. I had many
dear friends warn me that we will all go through a hard
adjustment time and to be prepared. Well, the Lord
continues to bless us all. There are times I see Mr J in
our home and it seems like he has never been gone and then
I realize what a blessing it is to have him with us again
and how we have missed all the everyday things that you do
as a family and all the joy and laughter we have missed
when he was gone. I had asked one of my sons how he was
feeling now that Dad was back and his response just summed
up how we have all been feeling. He said, "It is better
then what I allowed myself to remember."
I also wanted
to thank you all for the overwhelming love and support we
have felt since Mr J's return. This will be a Christmas
and New Year that will never be forgotten. I would also
wish to share my gratitude for so many who have come to
our support as we continue to fight for Mr J's innocence.
You have no idea what that means to Mr J and our whole
family. I give Thanks to God every time I think about the
miracles that we have witnessed. I only hope that some day
we can also be a support to others who may find themselves
in the same situation. We will continue to stand tall.
With great
love and gratefulness,

This message came in a few days ago
- it was written a few days before Mr J came home.
Our prayers
have almost been answered, we have been praying for you
Mr. J, that you would be home with your family and get on
with your life. We will not give up yet, hopefully they
will realize this is a waste of the taxpayers time and
money.
Our greatest
wish is that those will come forward and tell the truth.
And tell that they were persuaded into false accusations.
That would be the absolute greatest.
God and those
that love you know the truth though. Merry Merry Christmas
enjoy your family and friends at Christmas.
Love your
friend.

After writing
my account of last night, I talked to Mr J's
sister, who gave me more information. She told me
there were over 200 people lining the streets, with the total
number of people who welcomed Thad home close to 400.
Mr J was driven
home by a former
Toler parent who made the six hour drive (each way)
to pick him up - Mike picked up Mrs J and the
children on his way, plus Mr J's sister and
brother-in-law also went up in their own car.
So picture
this: as the caravan entered the neighborhood, there were
yellow ribbons everywhere and when they drove up to the
house, 200 people holding flashlights and candles were packed into the cul de sac.
And as the vehicles came into view, the supporters shouted,
Welcome Home Thad - We Love you Thad!
The crowd sang
Silent NIght and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. Then they went silent to let Mr J speak. Mr J was able to
thank them for the overwhelming outpouring of love and the
continuous support the Jesperson family has received
throughout this horrific ordeal that started nearly five
years ago.
I would
like to extend that appreciation to all of you, on
the web site. On behalf of Mr J, thank you for your
support, even if all you've done is follow the story
on the web site. I know there are supporters all over the
world. The number of people who were able to be at the
house last night is a fraction of the people who know and
love Mr J, and know that he is innocent. There would
probably have been 1200 people last night if everyone who
wanted to be there was. So it is you that I am writing
this to; those of you who would have been there, and were there in spirit, and whose
voices would have joined in the welcome, if it had
been possible.
Knowing that
people believed in him played a huge part in Mr J's
survival. In the short time I was able to talk to him last
night, he made that very clear. He kept us all in his
heart, and it helped him keep going. He knew he was
innocent, so he always had that. But knowing that we
all knew he was innocent, well, you can imagine
how much it meant.
Soon as he's
had a chance to regroup, I'm sure we'll be hearing from
him directly. So sit tight - there's more to
come.

Mr J was
welcomed home last night by hundreds of friends,
neighbors, and family members lining the street for
his arrival...almost 300 people. Many of us who knew him
from Toler Elementary were there, including students,
parents, administrative personnel, and a teacher who
worked with him, all who know that he is innocent.
There were so
many people, they didn't fit in the house. Everyone was in
the street, even though it was cold, and the party food
people had brought was inside. It was quite a scene - a
throng of happy faces with tears streaming down their
cheeks.
I got there at
about 7:15, and had missed seeing Mr J drive up (two
cars full of people went to get him) - the street was
already lined with over 100 people tightly pressed
together in the night air, singing Christmas carols. It
was hours before Mr J even went in the house! He stood out
in the street with his loved ones, drinking it all in. And
more people kept coming.
I happened to
be with him when he finally went in the house, several
hours after his arrival. He rubbed his hands over the
wall, as if to make sure it was real and he wasn't
dreaming. He walked through the living room, taking
in the Christmas decorations...and I heard him say "We
have turtles??!!" it is hard to describe, but it
was incredible.
Mr J looks
GREAT - soon, we will post new pictures and redesign the
web site. We need a new logo, that is not a broken
heart... but for now, I want Mr J to be able to absorb the
web site, read all your comments and catch up on our side
of the story.

Dear Friends,
I haven't
posted anything since Mr J won his appeal, because I
haven't known what to say. He's still in the system,
so I have been waiting to hear some good news. I
know we are all on pins and needles and hopefully,
the wait won't be too much longer.
Today, I was
organizing holiday stuff and came across Sydney's
Christmas card from last year, with the gorgeous collage
of pictures. I am so glad
to know this family will soon be back together again.
I looked at those pictures and was overwhelmed with
admiration for Mr J and his family, and thankful that the
Appellate Court saw that Mr J was wrongfully
convicted.

Dear Thad and
Sydney,
I am overjoyed to read about the good news regarding an
overturned judgment. I always believed in your
innocence.
I'm not sure if you remember me. I certainly can never
forget your delightful, loving family. I have been living
in Paris, France for the past 5 years. Your children were
some of my favorite students at Doyle. I was their teacher
in the 1st and 2nd grade. Sydney, you were such a dynamic
parent volunteer, motivating the kids to participate in
the Read-Around the-World Marathon... you were never too
busy to devote time to others, even managing to share
"Amish starter" with me, and at the same time, flashing
that beautiful smile of yours. Thad, I met you briefly at
a math conference, and from your gentle, kind demeanor I
knew you were never capable of any wrongdoing whatsoever.
My former husband, Ken Bailey, also a loving teacher, and
I had discussed how male teachers have to be ever so
careful; as sadly, "it's one word against another," should
vicious rumors spread their poison. Naturally, this should
NOT have been the case in a Court of LAW.
Thanksgiving is not far off... I know, however, I will be
making a special blessing tonight.
Love and peace to all of you,
Phyllis

Over the
years, we have heard from others with their own stories of
school teachers and child care providers who've been
falsely accused. The following message came from one of

would be OK to put on the website, which she said it
was.

I wrote a message to all of you when my husband was going
through a similar situation. He was a teacher at a high
school here in Riverside. He was arrested in 2002. The
case went to court every month for 1 1/2 years and was
continued each time. In October of 2003, my husband took a
plea-agreement when the DA told our attorney that he would
file additional "charges" and ask for 20 years in prison.
The plea-agreement gave him a "mere" 16 months in state
prison, of which he served nine months.
Although his family kept in touch with him and visited
regularly, prison unfortunately changed my husband to an
extreme.
I asked for a separation 8 months after his release and
filed for
divorce a year later when his disposition did not change.
I hope that Mr J is well and that he remains the gentle
man that
I've seen and learned about on your site.
I congratulate you all on your diligence and unwavering
loyalty and love for your husband, father, friend,
coworker and mentor. God Bless you all.

I personally grew up around Thad, being that I am
(currently) a friend of the entire family and best friend
to his oldest child, and I love this man as much as I love
my own father! I was always at the Jesperson house growing
up (the neighbors thought I lived there) and never once
did Thad "try anything" on me, he was like my second dad,
I couldn't believe the things he was being accused of.
Even after knowing what he was accused of, I never felt
uncomfortable around him. Thad is the most honest person I
have ever met, and I know without a doubt he is INNOCENT!

Hello
Everyone,
I would like to thank Sydney for inviting me to join them
on their visit with Thad. I was honored that you would
include me on such a memorable day, one I will never
forget.
To everyone who has and continues to show their love and
support: Because of Thad's situation we seemed a little
nervous about what Thad's reaction would be when he saw
all of us. When we arrived at the visiting center and Thad
walked thru the door, the look on his face was that of
uncertainty. After hugs and kisses, Sydney suggested that
we all go outside where we could have a little more
privacy. Sydney started by telling Thad we had some good
news. As she told him that all convictions had been
overturned Thad's knees buckled for a moment, and to say
the least we were very emotional. Once again there were
hugs and kisses joined by some crying. After we collected
ourselves, Thad of course wanted to know all about the
rulings and what was next.
Through the course of the day, there were many emotional
moments for Thad. He wanted me to tell all of you that
your love and support has formed friendships he will never
forget. I wish all of you could have listened when he
talked of you, but I will save that for him to tell you
how he feels. He just wanted me to thank all of you for
now.
I am sure that Thad is very anxious about the future. He
and his family can only wait and see at this point, but
knowing so many people care and support them gives them
the strength and courage they need to continue. They want
you to know that
their thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
Thanks,
Mike

always maintained and stated my 100% belief that this man,

not been stated anywhere that Mr. Jesperson was given the
opportunity to plea bargain. He stated that he would not
plea to something that he did not do!!!! With that said,
he would have been free and home with his family, making a
living and supporting his family.
He has
maintained his innocence from day one!!! Now people are
listening and the big shame is the loss of time and
livelihood, not to mention the past time he will not
recover with his wife, four children and friends. I am a
mother of two girls and I am very protective of children's
rights to be heard, but not manipulated!!!
When will the
Justice system learn to check into the sources and the
professionals that are responsible for getting the facts
and proving them beyond reasonable doubt? Especially with
the huge amount of reasonable doubt and lack of evidence
in this case. There was an enormous miscarriage of Justice
and Misconduct by people with the power to influence and
judge this mans future. They should be disbarred and
removed from the position, so as to never be able to ruin
another innocent life again. May God Bless and help in the
healing of this INNOCENT, decent man and his unfortunate,

Thank you all

end of this tunnel!

I have been following this case since day 1 and have
always believed Thad was innocent. True, I am a personal
friend and one time co-worker of his, but considering that
I have also committed my life to helping children (as Thad
also did) and would never dream of hurting one of them , I
have been able to remove myself from any personal
connection and consider the facts surrounding this case.
The truth is that the DA office in San Diego had some very
young attorneys who were determined to make a name for
themselves professionally and didn't care who they harmed
in the process. They were persistent and would have tried
him four, five, or even six times until they got what they
wanted. I only hope and pray that each and every person
who did wrong in this case takes a hard look at themselves
and their motives and is able to find peace with what they
have done.
I also hope that the children who were involved in this
case are able to find peace after what has happened to
them in all of this. Their families and the social workers
have unfortunately exposed them to a very ugly thing and
now we as a society
must ensure they are helped in their own healing.
I know Thad has found that peace and his wife, kids,
family, and friends will see to it that he is welcomed
home to the largest and warmest reception possible. I have
already RSVP'ed.

him at some point after he rests and recuperates. GOD

I can't begin to tell you how happy I am for your family.
I can't wait to give Thad a huge hug and rejoice with him.
There has never been any doubt in my mind as to Thad's
innocence. I praise God for his company in the cellblock.
I don't know how I
would have made it without him.

I read with great hope this morning in the paper about the
appeal. Mrs J was my daughter's scout troop leader years
ago at Doyle Elementary. I always admired her and her
family and have followed this unfortunate case through the
media. I wish
them the best and will add my prayers to those of the
legions of others who continue to support them in this
trying time.

I am a friend and former co worker of Mr J's
brother-in-law. We talked many times when we worked
together about Mr J and this whole situation. I have
followed the story now for the past few years and have
hoped and prayed this day would come.
Years ago when I was in law enforcement in San Diego
County, I had the opportunity to appear before Judge
Huffman a few times. He was known back then for his ethics
and firm yet fair judgemnts. Happily he still adheres to
those principles! To
Thad's family, I hope he is home soon, where he belongs!
God Bless you all!

YES!!!!!Finally! My family and I are so elated that Mr. J
is finally getting some justice. My faith in the justice
system was completely destroyed the day Mr. J was
convicted of a crime he did not commit. Now, maybe if he
is freed, it may return (by some small measure.) I will be
following his story closely.
Love for Mr J,

I am so happy about the ruling of the state appeals court
yesterday. Myself, and my family have always believed in
the innocence of Mr J. I am so thankful that we are one
step closer to getting him home. Home with his family is
where he belongs, and deserves to be. We have stood behind
Mr J since the beginning in 2003 and we will continue to
stand behind him and his family.

Hallelujah! The court of appeals heard Mr J's story and
the truth was seen, heard and understood (finally!) What a
joyful, wonderful turn of events for this man and his
family.
We have dreamed and prayed for the day when it would be
said in a court of law that Mr J did not commit these
crimes.
This family has been a shining example of humble strength,
faith and dignity; always knowing the truth, and living
well above the muck that had brought them to this place.
Were that we all a tenth of the spirit-filled human beings
these people have been in the face of such adversity.
We celebrate with this dear family and look forward to the
day when we can be together to welcome Mr J home, a free
man.
Our love and continued support,

Dear Friends
and Family,
So much time has passed and life has kept me so busy that
I feel it is time to give you all an update. We are at the
mercy of the Appeal System right now as we continue to
fight for truth. Meanwhile, we are surrounded by loving
friends and family that make this time away from our
beloved Husband and Daddy bearable! Mr. J is doing well.
He continues to bless our family with his uplifting
letters and inspired advice. He always seems to know what
we need to hear two weeks in advance so that by the time
we receive his letters we are receiving the needed
guidance and or comfort that only he can give. The Lord
has blessed him with that gift. Even though he is away
from us we still feel him so close to each of us. He
inspires us with his positive attitude and goodness. He
contributes this to all the prayers that are given on his
behalf daily. Thank you for that! We love you all and we
continue to be hopeful!
With much love and gratitude!
Sydney J. and family
